Hello hello hello! A quick update as we’ve just arrived in the highlands of Scotland ready for our final climb of Charlie’s 10. Tomorrow we’ll be heading up Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK.
Pretty sure it’s the only part of the country where it’s raining (!) but we like a challenging walk. And it means we will have succeeded in climbing the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales together.
This final walk has been a long time coming and there are some mixed feelings about finishing our challenge, but mostly we’re just really excited.
We decided it would just be me and Issie (and the dog) for our final mountain. We’ve worked our way back to where we started, walking up our first peak together in the Lakes back in August 2015. And yet so much has happened since then, so many walks with so many amazing friends.
As we march to to the top tomorrow we’ll be thinking of every one of you that has joined us over the last three years and all of you who have so generously donated to our charities. A huge thank you for your support and if you still want to donate it’s not too late, there are links to the justgiving pages on our blog.
But most of all tomorrow we’ll be thinking of darling Charlie, without whom we wouldn’t have even started this challenge.
Wish us luck and we’ll let you know how we get on.
